The Challenge
Boulder's Latino population is small relative to the broader Denver metro area, which meant Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art's (BMoCA) exhibition Tres Voces, Un Corazón — curated from a family of three local artists from Denver's Northside community — required intentional outreach to reach audiences most connected to the exhibition's story. BMoCA needed additional support to lead that outreach, with efforts centered on Boulder and Longmont. Reaching those communities called for deeper, more intentional connections in each area rather than a one-size-fits-all approach — building authentic relationships with Latino-serving organizations, bilingual influencers and Spanish-language media who were already trusted voices in those communities. GHG was engaged for a short-term, five-month initiative to drive targeted awareness and foster meaningful connections within this priority audience.
GHG Approach
GHG developed a comprehensive community engagement plan for Tres Voces, Un Corazón and executed it across three coordinated tracks. On media, GHG pitched and secured earned coverage across five English- and Spanish-language broadcast and digital outlets, coordinating interview logistics with artists, the curator, and BMoCA staff. On community, GHG researched and built targeted outreach lists, then connected with Latino-serving organizations in Boulder and Longmont, ultimately activating a new on-site partnership and forging relationships with additional community groups in both areas. On influencers, GHG identified bilingual, Latino-audience voices, negotiated a partnership with one influencer, and secured a media segment through another.
The Results
Coverage on 5 broadcast and digital outlets (English- and Spanish-language)
Reach of 1,160,113 through broadcast media and influencers
Initiated 3 meetings with Latino-serving organizations
Secured 2 bilingual, Latino-audience influencer partnerships
