Jeff Howard

With more than two decades of work in the sports industry, Jeff currently serves as the Managing Partner of the Gomez Howard Group (GHG), overseeing the firm's business development activities. Since joining the firm on a full-time basis in 2015, Jeff has helped deliver successful public relations and community engagement activities directly linked to Colorado organizations and businesses, including public campaign and messaging strategies, large and small-scale event facilitation, and digital media strategies.

 

Prior to GHG, Jeff spent six years at the University of Denver and more than two as senior associate athletic director for external relations. In his capacity as senior associate athletic director, he supported key initiatives of the vice chancellor for athletics, recreation, and Ritchie Center operations while also overseeing the media relations and technical services departments. Prior to his roles at the University of Denver, Jeff served on the communications division leadership team and directed the education and outreach, community relations, and career services departments in a second stint at the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOPC). Jeff moved back to the USOPC after serving as managing director for public and media relations/spokesperson at the NCAA in the early 2000s. Prior to his senior leadership roles, he also worked as a media relations assistant for the Denver Broncos and Sports Producer for KWGN-TV in Denver.

 

Jeff is a member of the Anti Defamation League’s Catholic Jewish Dialogue and chairs the Diversity and Inclusion Committee of the Colorado Golf Association.
