The Challenge
As Prosperity Denver Fund expanded its investments in college, credential and apprenticeship pathways, the organization had an opportunity to elevate CEO Rebecca Arno’s voice beyond conversations about the Fund itself and position her as a leader on broader issues affecting education, workforce development and economic mobility in Colorado.
GHG sought opportunities that would showcase Arno’s expertise and leadership while connecting Prosperity Denver’s work to timely statewide conversations. The strategy included both thought leadership through authored content and third-party recognition that could strengthen Arno’s visibility and credibility among business, civic and community audiences.
GHG Approach
GHG worked with Prosperity Denver to identify opportunities that aligned Arno’s experience and perspective with larger conversations taking place across Colorado.
Following passage of House Bill 1317, which restructures and integrates Colorado’s higher education and workforce development systems, GHG helped develop and write an opinion piece positioning Arno and Colorado Thrives CEO Christine Heitz as voices on how the state could use the legislation to create a stronger talent pipeline for both students and employers. The piece moved beyond promoting either organization and instead offered a forward-looking perspective on workforce preparation, education, employer engagement, data and the changing nature of work.
GHG also helped develop and write Arno’s nomination for the Denver Business Journal’s Outstanding Women in Business awards, identifying the accomplishments, leadership qualities and organizational impact that would distinguish her among other nominees. The nomination positioned Arno’s leadership within the broader impact of Prosperity Denver and its nonprofit partners, including the tens of thousands of Denver students supported through college scholarships, career training, credentials, apprenticeships and high school support.
Together, the strategies helped establish Arno not simply as the leader of Prosperity Denver, but as an executive with an important perspective on education, workforce development, economic mobility and Denver’s future.
The Results
Results:
The Colorado Sun published the guest opinion by Rebecca Arno and Christine Heitz, “If done right, new Colorado legislation will help reimagine state’s workforce preparation,” on July 21, 2026
The piece provided Arno with a statewide platform to weigh in on the implementation of House Bill 1317 and advocate for a more integrated education and workforce system centered on the needs of students and employers
Arno was selected as a 2026 Denver Business Journal Outstanding Women in Business honoree, one of the region’s established recognitions of women leaders in the Denver business community
The recognition complemented Arno’s selection earlier in 2026 as a Colorado Titan 100 recipient, further strengthening her visibility as a civic and organizational leader
